The Games
The Houston Astros are producing enough wins to stay out in front for a Play Off place and have a week of games against mid-table sides they can be confident of beating. The Texas Rangers arrive for three midweek games, before the Astros host weekend fixtures with the New York Mets.
Just three defeats in their last ten matches has seen the Cleveland Indians move up to second in the American League. They take a five-game unbeaten run into tough-looking midweek fixtures on the road against a New York Yankees side who sit fourth, just outside the Play Off places. The Indians then have four games against a Detroit Tigers side struggling at the opposite end of the table.
The Boston Red Sox have slipped down to third after four straight defeats, going into their midweek games at the Toronto Blue Jays. They then have some exciting-looking weekend games when they travel to the Yankees, who sit just one place below them.

The Washington Nationals stay second going into a week’s fixtures with two sides in mid-table, both chasing a Wild Card spot. The Nationals host the Miami Marlins, before travelling to the Milwaukee Brewers at the weekend.
The Bets
The in-form Cleveland Indians should continue their recent good form, and are more than likely to pick up wins when they face the lowly Detroit Tigers over the weekend. There should be some tight games when the New York Yankees host the Boston Red Sox over the weekend, but the Red Sox haven’t been overly impressive lately, so it’s wise to back the Yankees to pick up some vital wins in their pursuit of a Play Off place.
Elsewhere, the Baltimore Orioles, who have won five of their last six games, host the Toronto Blue Jays, and look good money to continue their recent good form.
