Swimming: Men’s 200m Freestyle Final (02:21 BST) - It will be round two of James Guy vs Sun Yang after their previous clash in the 400m freestyle. The 200m is considered to be by far Guy’s better event, but he will need to improve after an unconvincing performance in the semi-finals.

Diving: Men’s Synchronised 10m Platform (20:00 BST) - Tom Daley will team up with Dan Goodfellow to go for gold for Great Britain. China are expected to dominate many of the diving events, but Daley and Goodfellow are medal contenders.

Rugby Sevens: Women’s Final (23:00 BST) - The first Olympic Rugby Sevens tournament will come to an end and Team GB could be pushing for the historic gold, but Australia, New Zealand and Canada are the favourites.
Sailing: First Races (17:05) - The first day of sailing will not feature any medals, but windsurfers Bryony Shaw and Nick Dempsey will be involved.
Rowing: Heats (12:30) - The men’s and women’s eights will take to the water to begin their gold medal campaigns.
Tennis: Second Round - With half of the 64 competitors already eliminated over the weekend, will Andy Murray and Novak Djokovic still be on a collision course to meet in the men’s final?
