Swansea City notched up their only win of the campaign away at Burnley on the opening day. Since then, their only other points have come from draws with Chelsea and Watford, a run that sees them languishing with their fellow early strugglers. New manager Bob Bradley brings a great deal of experience to the club and he will need it to revive the confidence of his beleaguered players. Bradley has overseen a draw and two defeats, the most recent of which saw the Swans overrun by a Stoke City side inspired by former Swansea man Wilfried Bony.
Manchester United started the season strongly, piecing together three wins in three games, but have struggled in recent weeks. Draws with Stoke, Liverpool and Burnley and a humiliating 4-0 reverse on Mourinho’s return to Chelsea in their last four games have seen them plummet out of the European places. In addition, talismanic striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic seems to have forgotten how to score in the league, but could this weekend’s nervy opponents be the perfect prey for the Swede?
Although you would expect a straightforward win for the Red Devils, this season has been far from predictable for Jose Mourinho's men and, in Bob Bradley, they come up against a coach who knows what he’s doing. The more time the American spends on the training pitch with his charges, the more likely they are to begin the recovery process and kick their season into gear.
Goals have been hard to come by for United in recent Premier League games, with the Old Trafford club failing to net in any of their last three matches, and Swansea are not exactly free scoring. With this in mind, Ladbrokes’ 11/4 on there being fewer than 1.5 goals may bring you some joy, even if the football on display is less than entertaining.
