Premier League Preview and Betting Tips - 11th - 12th March

Updated Monday 13th March 2017, 07:52 AM

With the FA Cup quarterfinals taking place, this weekend gives a number of teams the chance to pick up valuable points and climb the Premier League table. Can Bournemouth build on their draw at Old Trafford, will Everton bounce back after last week’s defeat to Tottenham, who will claim victory in the battle at the bottom as Swansea City travel to Hull and can Liverpool finally overcome a team in the bottom half of the table? attempts to answer these pressing questions.

The Fixtures

Bournemouth v West Ham United - 14th v 11th

Following a run of four consecutive defeats, Bournemouth managed to ease their relegation fears by picking up a well-deserved point at Old Trafford. The Cherries face another United this weekend in the form of West Ham, and Eddie Howe’s men will be full of confidence following their exploits in Manchester. However, an ever-improving Hammers team should not be underestimated, with Slaven Bilic’s men desperate to climb the table in pursuit of European football next season. An honourable score-draw could be on the cards at the Vitality Stadium.

  • Winner: Bournemouth 7/5, West Ham United 7/4, Draw 5/2 - Sky Bet
  • Top Tip: Draw and BTTS - 7/2 - BetVictor

Everton v West Bromwich Albion - 7th v 8th

Ronald Koeman’s men were top of the form table before their game with Tottenham, only for the Toffees to slump to their first defeat in ten games. This weekend sees the Merseyside outfit entertain a strong West Brom side who are eyeing a top-half finish for the second successive season. However, having already reached the fabled 40-point mark, Tony Pulis’ men might be tempted to take their foot off the gas, meaning the Baggies could be in for a rough ride at Goodison Park.

  • Winner: Everton 4/6, Draw 3/1, West Brom 5/1 - Betfred
  • Top Tip: Everton to win 2-0 - 7/1 - BetVictor

Hull City v Swansea City - 19th v 16th

Saturday afternoon sees two of this season’s relegation candidates go head-to-head at the KCOM. Results for both sides have have improved of late, following the appointment of new managers in January. The home side currently find themselves in 19th, four points from safety, while the visitors have managed to claw their way clear of the dreaded dotted line following a run of four wins in six games. Expect a feisty encounter that could see the Tigers turned over by a resurgent Swans side.

  • Winner:  Hull City 7/5, Swansea 21/10, Draw 21/10 - William Hill
  • Top Tip: Fernando Llorente to score anytime and Swansea to win - 11/1 - William Hill

Liverpool v Burnley - 4th v 12th (Sky Sports 1)

On paper, there should be only one outcome in this game, as Liverpool, with their excellent home record, take on Burnley, a side who have picked up just two points on the road all season. However, the Reds have a habit of failing to show up against teams in the lower echelons of the Premier League. Jurgen Klopp’s men have already fallen victim to the Clarets this season, slipping to a 2-0 defeat in East Lancashire. The charismatic German will be desperate to avoid reliving his Turf Moor trauma, but this could be another frustrating afternoon for the Merseyside outfit.

  • Winner: Liverpool 1/4, Draw 5/1, Burnley 10/1 - Paddy Power
  • Top Tip: Draw and BTTS - 8/1 - Bet365
