Sirens v Team Bath - Team Bath managed to close the gap on the Superleague’s top three with a hard-fought victory over winless Team Northumbria, but the Somerset side were forced to wait until the fourth quarter to make absolutely sure of the three points. The girls in blue will be hoping for an easier ride against a Sirens side who fell victim to Severn Stars in Round Six. An away win should be on the cards, but the Scots certainly won’t go down without a fight.
- Top Tip: Team Bath to win - 4/11
Team Northumbria v Severn Stars - Following their 54-44 victory over Sirens, Severn Stars will be aiming to record back-to-back wins for the first time when they take on Team Northumbria. Despite their slow start to the season, the Stars could realistically still make the top four, but they will need to start piecing results together quickly, and a game against Northumbria may provide the ideal boost. This might be a clash of 8th v 9th, but the women from Worcestershire should have no problems picking up their third win of the campaign.
- Top Tip: Severn Stars to win - 1/3
Surrey Storm v Wasps Netball - Saturday may be April Fools’ Day, but this meeting between two of Superleague’s heavyweights is no joke. Surrey Storm have looked unstoppable this term, racking up six wins from six as they chase a hat-trick of titles, while Wasps still have their eyes set firmly on a debut season to remember despite a couple of early slip ups on home soil. This meeting will see a number of former Storm players, including last season’s top scorer Rachel Dunn, come up against their former side, but expect the home team to snatch victory and strengthen their position at the top of the table.
- Top Tip: Surrey Storm to win - 1/6
Manchester Thunder v Hertfordshire Mavericks - A stunning comeback in the third and fourth quarters saw Manchester Thunder pick up an unlikely three points against Wasps at the Ricoh Arena in Round Six, as last year’s grand finalists continued to close the gap on this season’s top four. Another win could be on the horizon this weekend for the 2014 champions, especially if Joyce Mvula can replicate her Player of the Match-winning performance against Wasps. Standing in their way will be a Mavericks side who will be desperate to prove a point following a run of just two wins in six outings. However, Thunder, who are unbeaten in four, should have too much for the Hatfield outfit.
- Top Tip: Manchester Thunder to win (with -4.5 handicap) - 5/6
Celtic Dragons v Loughborough Lightning - Lightning may be unbeaten in 2017, but they were given a real wake-up call in the first quarter of their last outing against Hertfordshire Mavericks. The side in second trailed 18-12, before eventually running out winners in a game that finished 66-57. It is this lapse in concentration that Celtic Dragons will hope to take advantage of when the two teams meet on Monday. However, overcoming Loughborough will be no easy task, especially following the Welsh side's capitulation at the hands of league leaders Surrey Storm in Round Six. The Dragons have the worst defensive record in the division and things certainly don’t look as if they’ll improve in this game.
- Top Tip: Loughborough Lightning to win (with -12.5 handicap) - 5/6
